Player Biography


2008: 

Justine earned First Team All-BIG EAST and All-BIG EAST Tournament as well as AVCA First Team All-Region and Honorable Mention AVCA All-American Honors. She was a two-time BIG EAST Honor Roll selection and earned All-Adidas Indiana Classic honors. She was in double digit kills in 22 of 30 matches with a season high of 22 against DePaul. She had 20 against Wake Forest and Indiana. As a setter in the 6-2, she had a season-high 33 assists against Purdue. She had 27 aces with a season high of three against Illinois State and and Tennessee Tech. She had a season high seven blocks against Valparaiso and Pitt.

2007: 

Justine plays right side for the Cardinals and hits from the back row and uses her powerful jump serve to keep opponents in disarray. In the BIG EAST Tournament, she had 10 kills and six digs against Syracuse and had eight kills and four blocks against Notre Dame. She had three kills against St. John's in the championship. Against Ohio, she had 10 kills, 17 digs and five blocks. She had a season-high 13 kills against Tennessee Tech and had four aces against both Coastal Carolina and Marquette. Against Pitt, she had six kills, five digs an ace and five blocks. Against Notre Dame she had 11 kills, 14 digs and four blocks. She had a career high 24 digs against Duke. She had nine blocks against St. John's.

2006: 

Justine spent the summer as a member of the A2 Junior National team and played in Croatia. The USA A2 JNT, coached by Lee Maes, defeated the Italians from Spes Volley Conegliano in straight sets (25-15, 28-26, 25-18). They become the first American team to win the Global Challenge in its three years of existence. In 2006, she had 120 kills and averaged 1.1.4 kills per game. Third on the team in service aces, she notched 36. She had 189 digs, 25 blocks and 44 assists. Her best match came against West Virginia with 19 kills and a .485 hitting percentage. Her best non-conference performance came against Jacksonville State when she had 14 kills, 14 digs, three digs and an ace.

High School: 

Justine was ranked No. 71 in Prep Volleyball's prestigious Top 100 Players. At Coral Springs Charter School, in Coral Springs, Florida, she was the team captain since the eighth grade. She played for her mother, Dee, for three years at CSCS. As a sophomore, she was named Second Team All-County. As a junior, her team advanced to the Regional Finals for the first time in school history, where they placed second in the Region. As a junior, she was named the Sun-Sentinel's "Super Six" as well as First Team All-County, and All-State Honorable Mention. Landi played for Boomers Volleyball Club and played on Boomers 17-Elite as an opposite and setter. She helped her team qualify for the National Tournament in Salt Lake City, Utah and was selected for the YNT A2 Camp in Austin, Texas. An excellent student, she was a member of the National Honor Society and ranked in the top ten in her class. She was an outstanding swimmer as well, qualifying for the Florida State Swim Meet for the 100-breaststroke, 200-freestyle relay, and 200-Individual Medley her final hree years in high school.
